Flights

After my recent unfortunate event with Alaska Airlines and subsequent flight changes for our Hawaii trip, all one needs to see it that "You must call the booking agent due to an issue with your flight". It  certainly strikes fear in the heart. I will say I booked my flight and John's flight separately since I could get a better deal. (occasionally when booking ONE flight you can find a cheaper price). All along I have been receiving small changes of a few minutes time difference or a flight number change in one case. This particular flight was John's made on American Express Travel using some of our points. After a mere 1 hour and 2 minutes on the  phone and AMEX calling United/Lufthansa the flight is straightened out. It is a simple flight number and plane change from United to Lufthansa.  I received this info from Orbitz for my flight last week with barely a blip on the radar. I guess I won't be using AMEX travel site anymore anyway because that was my Costco account. Costco has replaced AMEX with Citi Bank Visa now. So we are calm and traveling on with a good result!

Getting Closer!

Today I made a second payment on these phenomenal tours! It is becoming REAL. I was concerned yesterday when there was a shooting in Tel Aviv. I've been in contact with the travel agent and thankfully she, along with Ya'lla, have the same travel philosophy that we have. As tragic as these things are, they do happen all over the world. I think our risk is about the same as some of our CA freeways! So we proceed forward and feel confident in this agency we are using not to cancel our trip. I may have said we have planned this trip, even with a deposit, and it was canceled by the booking agency because of temporary unrest. We know there will always be conflict in this area until Armageddon*, so we know where to put our faith and hope.

*The word “Armageddon” comes from a Hebrew word Har-Magedone, which means “Mount Megiddo” and has become synonymous with the future battle in which God will intervene and destroy the armies of the Antichrist as predicted in biblical prophecy (Revelation 16:16; 20:1-3, 7-10).
