Flights

After my recent unfortunate event with Alaska Airlines and subsequent flight changes for our Hawaii trip, all one needs to see it that "You must call the booking agent due to an issue with your flight". It  certainly strikes fear in the heart. I will say I booked my flight and John's flight separately since I could get a better deal. (occasionally when booking ONE flight you can find a cheaper price). All along I have been receiving small changes of a few minutes time difference or a flight number change in one case. This particular flight was John's made on American Express Travel using some of our points. After a mere 1 hour and 2 minutes on the  phone and AMEX calling United/Lufthansa the flight is straightened out. It is a simple flight number and plane change from United to Lufthansa.  I received this info from Orbitz for my flight last week with barely a blip on the radar. I guess I won't be using AMEX travel site anymore anyway because that was my Costco account. Costco has replaced AMEX with Citi Bank Visa now. So we are calm and traveling on with a good result!
